TEMUKA.
Colonel Hawkins. 0.C.D.. Cantorbury, visited South Canterbury at the beginning of tbe week, and conducted officers' examinations at Geraldine and Temuka. After inspecting the corps, Captain Greshani and Lieut. Twigg. of the fcrmer, and Lieut. McCallum, of the latter, undertook tho practical part of their examinations.
There were good musters at b(_M_l " % parades, _nd the officers ond men ]2pS M quitted themselves well.
