NEW ZEALAND RUGBY UNION.

WELLINGTON, April 21. The Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union met tonight. The Otago Union asked that two duys be set ayart* for the annual meeting of the New Zealand Union, in view of tbe lato hour at which last year's meeting ended. It was decided that tho delegates oould adjourn the sitting till a second day if circumstances warranted it.
Tlie New South Wales Union wrote, stating that the American University team Mould leave for Australia on May 20th, and would consist of 25 players. It is proposed that thoy shall play five matches in New Zealand—two in Wellington, and one each in Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin. The arrangement of dates was left to the incoming Management Committee.
New South Wales asked that tho New Zealand Maori team should leavo for Australia on May 30th, the secretary of the team having stated that the- team could leavo on the date desired. That course was agreed to. The tour will ejetend over six'weeks.
It was decided to play v practice match on June 3rd between the New Zealand representative team for Australia and a Wellington team, the Wellington Union to get two-thirds of the not gate receipts as rental of tho ground.
Selectors of the New Zealand team were appointed as follows:—S. Wilson, Christchurch; H. Harris, Otago; V. R. Meredith, Wellington; nnd D. Gallaher, Auckland. It was decided to advise the Union to adopt the new rules.
Applications for reinstatement from two players in South Canterbury, and one at Petone (who were disqualified for playing the Northern Union game) wero refused.
