"THE PRICE OF DIGNITY."
"The Times" states that Mr Lloyd George estimates the loss on the mccme tax at £.50,000, and the interest on recent borrowings at the same amount. The latter sum, "The Times" adds, represents the price tho country has to pay for the Government's notions of dignity. It is probable that the surplus will really only be £250.000, as Mr Lloyd George was not justified in counting in £2,700,000 taken from the sinking fund.
