PARIS, April 20
The police have discovered that "Count do la Tingy" is really the son of a London tailor named Daulby. He had been living in extravagant style at Tours.
"Count and Countess Auiby db la Tingy" were arrested at Tours. It is alleged that they sold forged paintings to a TMrs Peine, an American lady living in Paris, including four pictures described as the works of Murillo, Correggio, Titian, and Corot. These four cost £40,000. Mrs Paine entrusted the "Count" with the task of making a large collection, and experts declare that they aro all forgeries.
