BRISBANE, April 21. The referendum which was taken on the question of Bible-Toading in the State tohocLs has so far resulted as follows:—Yes, 45,232 votes. No, 29,185. A PROFITABLE QUARTER. MELBOURNE, April 21. On a conspiracy charge, arising out of the Harper case, Hill was committed for trial. Willis, Harpor, Brocket, and Kemp were discharged, on the ground of insufficient evidence. SOUTH AUSTRALIAN POLITICS. (Received April 22nd, 12.45 a.m.) ADELAIDE, April 21. The Peake Ministry havo decided to hold office until June. Tho decision is the outcome of the fact that some of the ballot, boxes for the Flinders electorate are missing, and the time for receiving the returns from Flinders has been extended till June Bth. Even if the Labour Party win Iho Flinders seat, they will have only a bare majority. DEATH OF A FAMOUS JUMPER. (Received Anri! 22nd, 12.45 a.m.) SYDNEY. April 21. Tha famous jumper Mahonga won the high jump with 6ft 7in at tho Grafton Show, and immediately dropped dead.
