A TRANS-CONTINENTAL SCHEME

The Minister of Railways has taken an important stop forward in the direction of a trans-continental railway through Western Queensland, Jinking up Port Darwin with the railway system of the Eastern States. He has ordered future surveys to be followed by trial surveys for the extension of thf- Quaensland system north aud west of Mount Elliott, also from Cloncurry to Camooweal and Burketo wn.
