The southern colt My Lawyer put up a couple of fine performances at tho South Canterbury Jockey Club's Meeting yesterday. In the absence of Mr J. Henrys, the handicaps for the second day of the South Canterbury Jockey Club's Meeting were compiled by M"r W. Hayes. H. Cairns, who had intended to* leave for Australia immediately after the C.J.C. Autumn Meeting, but remained in New Zealand to ride at Trer,i.'ham and Awapuni, was a passenger for Melbourne on tho Moana last week. Hβ goes to Caulficld to join D. J. Price's str.b!e.
