AFTER THE SCARE.
(press association- telegram. *) PALMERSTON NORTH, April 18. At the Stipendiary Magistrate's Court to-day, Francis Alexander McMinn (who represented New Zealand against Bedell-Seivwright's fex>tball team) was charged with intimidating Neil Shields by discharging firearms at the latter'-* dwelling house, and demanding admittance to Shieltls's house. McMinn was also charged with discharging firearms in the borough, to the great annoyance of the residents. McMinn will also be charged with assaulting Mark Laybourne and Edwin Pratt, each, it is alleged, being bailed up by accused. The cases arose out of the scenes in town last Monday night, when Quirke was shot. The cases were adjourned till the 25th inst.
