— fc ■ CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION'S TOURNAMENT. The final matches of two compriitions in connection with .the Canterbury Lawn Tennis ! Association's Easter Tournament were decided on the Linwood courts on Saturday. In the Combined Championship Doubles, Kiver and Mls3 Nicholson beat Perm and Miss Goodman, 6-5, 3-6, 6-5. The play throughout was of a high-class order, both combinations playing quita ni> to their best form. The result of the contest was really determined by the steady play of Miaa Nicholson. Tho winners of the Combined Championship in the previous tournament were Perm anJ Miss Goodman. Kiver and Borrows (owe 30), defeated Goss and Goss, junr. (rec. 8-6, 15). in the final of the Men's Handicap Doubles by 9 parties to 8. This contest waa equally interesting. The games were eight all, and in the final bout Goss and Goss scored forty .to love. Ultimately, however, Kiver and Borrows equalised th« position and won. OPAWA v. SUMMER. A match between the Opawa and Sumner Tennis Clubs was played at Sumner on Saturday, and resulted in a win for the former by eight game?. The following are the scores (the Opawa players being mentioned first in each case): — First Bound—Oxford and Garland boat Ferguson and Gore, 9-6, 9-6; Horman and McKeilar beat Harvey and Morrison, 9-1, 9-4; ■Williams and Willis lost to P. Gill and C Gill, 3-9, 7-9. Second Bound—Oxford and Harman beat Ferguson and Harvey, 9-4, and lost 4-9; Garland end Williams lost to Goro and R. Gill, 4-9, 6-9; McKsllax and Wills beat C. Gill and Morrison, 9-7, 0-3. Totals—Opawa 87, Sumner 79.

Tho Sumner Club played" at Rangiora on Saturday, the latter club winning by 136 points, tne scores being Kangiors 317, Sumner 261.
