Mr C. E. Cross, of Riccarton, was yesterday advised by tho secretary of the New Zealand Trotting Assoti-nioii, that that body had granted him a. permit to trot his horse Sir Joo against a ey-rlist at th<: Christchurch Cycling and Motor Club's Easter Wheel Race Meeting on Good Friday.
