LEESTON.
On account of tho harvest the attendance at L-eeston sale on Friday was much smaller than usua}, and there was only a small entry of stock. The sheep market -was fairly firm, but pigs showed no improvement on the prices ruling at recent sales. There were only a few cattle yarded, and these realised fair prices. Some of the sheep sales were: —For Cooper's Estate, 149 twotooth wethers, 11s 6d to Us 7d; a client, 13 wethers 13s 3d; J. Leahy, 47 two-tooth- wethers 13s; E. J. Cowan, 89 sound mouth ewee 12s 6d; a client, 14 wethers 13s 3d; a client, 101 wethers Hβ 6d; R. Allen, 19. fat ewes 9s Bd, 3 wethers 14s; a client, 122 rape lambs 9s 6d, 310 at 10s 4d to 10s sd; old ewes, 3s 7d to 6s 3d. Pigs—The entry of fate was very small. Best baconers made from 39s to 465; stores brought from 7s for weaners up to 23s for the largest panned.
