YOUNG PEOPLE'S DEMONSTRATION.

The Young People's welcome in the Salvation Army Citadel on Saturday evening was c most popular function, the main hell being fully occupied by friends and sympathisers with the Army. The young peojple of the Army had united to tender a welcome to Commissioner and Mrs Hay, and also to the new Provincial Young People's secretary, Major Cermichael. The entertainment they gave was a most picturesque one, and all the items were thoroughly enjoyed. Songs, choruses', action songe, and pretty drill items succeeded one another, and ell were given with that «est end enthusiasm which is characteristic of the Army. Short addresses were given by Commissioner Hay and Major Carmichael. The demonstration was an undoubted success, and -was greatly enjoyed by all who were present. ,
