LEESTON.
On account of tho holidays, the entry of stoclc at Leoston on Friday was not fo large as usual, ond prices all round were much cosier. Many lines m sheep, pigs, and cattle failed to find buyers, and competition was not so spirited as usual Some of the sheep sales were:— For Messrs "Worner Bros.. 20 ewes at I>> 7d, 24 ewes at 10s 6d; Mr C. J. I.twton 17 ewes at 9s 10d; Mr W. G. .Smart, 31 ewes at 8s; Mr G. H. Andrew. 53 twn-tooth ewes at 12s 3d; Messrs Worner Bros., 2 ewes at 12s, 3t> fat ewes at 8s 6d, 14 ewes at 7s 8d; Mr G. H. Andrew, 50 ewes at lfte 10d; Mrs W\ Scott, 8 fat ewes at 9s; Mr T Withcll. no four-tooth ewes at 13s fid, 29 at 9s Id; Mr W. H. Jackmen, 10 ewes at 9s: Cooper's Estate, 24 wethers at 10.s 6d; B. Greenan, 32 twotooth ewes at 13s Bd, 16" wethers at Us lid; Mr B. Patterson, 10 fat ewes at 9s 6d. Pige.-r-There was only a small entry of ijwconeTs, and the following . prices were realised: 42s 6d,,446, and 439. A pen of porkers made 6d. Stores brought from 7s 6d to 28s. Cattle.—Springing heifers made-up to £6 10s, and cows , up to £7 10s. A pen of steers made from £6 10s to £8, and • fat cows brought up to £6 sa. Store cattle realised from £3 5s upwards, and a pen of. young cattle brought 225.
