During a dense fog yesterday, the Ellenman liner "Arcadian, bound from London to Glasgow and Busra, collided with the Houldex liner Ayrshire, from Manchester to Durban and Australia, off T_»car Rook, Ireland. The Arcadian foundered in three minutes. Of her crew of 52 Lascars, twelve, who went below to secure their money, perished. The remainder , were picked up by the Ayrshire. The latter received a. crashing blowforward, and commenced to fill, but was towed with her 200 passengers* into harbour at Holyhead, where she was

safely beached. The passengers behaved well, and there waa no panic. The Ayrshire's number one hold was flooded. \
