"■' i. ■'» c The Canterbury Scouts Reserve Corps held their annual sports and picnic, on Saturday in a paddock kindly lent for the occasion by Mrs J. Deans at Hiccarton. Captain Fcnwick officiated «s judge of tho adult races, and Sergeant-Major Salt as starter, xne chief event of the uay, the Scouts Handicap (100 yds), for' a silver cup presented 07 Captain T. H. Overton, was won by Trooper J. M. Jack after a keenly contested race. Mrs Fonwick presented the prises et ihe conclusion of the sports. KesuHs: — One Milo Walk—Quartermaster-Sergeant J.
