Mr Duncan has been a fiCEter of big game from a very eariy 4«ge. Mooting mainly koodoo, the large v;S»T°Pf. of Africa. A red-letter day in life was when he secured his -'** Buffalo, which was shot about 1880 ,:*]* -I**® Mr Thomas Baines, the exand animal painter, Avho was a ;,,<We»gne of Dr. Livingstone, was a ?jftaeotion of Mr Duncan, and it was & him, as a youngster, the ambition to become a hunter. ti«r Duncan shot leopards before ho was jflwenwen years of age.
