The recent rush to dairying throughout .Southland is now showing ihe cfle.t on the clhky-o export (telegraphs our InvcTcargill correspondent)-. At this lime last year, the export had JLirely gut into swing, and only three shipments had been dc.«p-.itehe<l before the close of the year, while this season the first consignment went away earlier, and is now followed by a regular fortnightly shi.vmont, five lots having been alnudy despatched. Th? (juantity exported is already nearly double that despatched during the corrcsiionding period of 1908. The che°so industry to date has yielded about £21,21-1 more to Southland than it did during the early part of last season.
