The Duke of Marlborough unveiled a memorial tablet over a. bed endowed by Lady Mclhvraith, in the Dreadnought Hospital at Greenwich in memory of her husband. Sir Horace- Tozer, Agent-General for Queensland, declared that Sir Thos. Mcllwraith had established , such a system of local government in Queensland as had never been seen in any other part of tho Empire.
