WEATHER SUMMARY AND FORECAST

The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates's general weather summary and forecast: — Tho barometer has continued to rise steadily in the south, and tho winds have decreused. Rain has failen on the West Coast and about Kuikoura, and also in the extreme south of the South, Island, but fine weather, though threatening, has prevailed elsewhere. The present inaications are for moderate to strong westerly winds northward of Kawhia and East Cape, and a moderate scutherly gale is probable shortly. In other parts showery anu .changeable weather will probably prevail with a rising barometer. MAGNETIC OBSERVATORY.
