Several race meetings had to b© postponed in Australia recently owing to the coal strikes making th© running of special trains impossible. It is reported that an offer of 800gs was recently refused for Tawhaki, who changed bands at 600gs a few weeks hack.

Hamlin has been penalised 3sec in the Dash Handicap, and Lord Chancellor 2sec in the Ladies' Bracelet on the first day of the Plumpton Park T.C. Meeting.

. Lawn Rose has been scratched for all engagements at the Auckland Meeting.
