TIMARU.

Wheat has gone up with a run lately, and quite a number of lines have changed hands. One Timaru miller has bought 14,000 bags within the past fortnight, at prices ranging from 4s 2d to 4s -td, according to kind and qualify, delivered at Timaru. Holders now, however, will not cell at these prices. •A good deal of business was done ten days ago at 4s 3d, but holders are now •asking 4s 5d and 4s 6d. A few sales have been effected since prices have gone up, and for prime Velvet and Redchaff the present quotation is 4s 6d f.0.b., Tuscan 4s 4d to 4s sd. Oats are quoted at Is 9d to Is lid, delivered at Timaru. Flour is selling at £10 10s, bran at £2 12s M, and Pollard at £3 10s per ton. The market for old potatoes is now practically dead.
