WEATHER SUM3TABY. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates's general weather summary and forecast: — The weather has oontinued fine warm and humid over the North Island, but considerable rain has fallen on the West Coast of the South Island, and some showers have fallen in the extreme south. The barometer has fallen in the southern district*, but there has been little movement generally. The present indications are tor unsettled weather everywhere, with strong northerly and high westerly winds, especially about Cook Strait, and a felling barometer everywhere. More rough westerly weather is probable before the definite change to the south takes place, and this may now be expected after about thirty hour*.
