DATES FOR THE CIVIL SITTINGS

Mr Justice Sim, sitting as a Judge of the Supreme Court on Saturday morning, fixed dates for the continuation of the civil sittings of the Supreme Court, at which, he will preside during the absence of Mr Justice Denniston. In the case of Mason, Struthers and Co. v. Fleming, Mr G. Harper said that there "was only argument on law to be heard, and no evidence •would be called. The case was set down for December 9th, at 10.30 a.m. Cockburn v. Pyne and Co. -was set down for December 13th, at 10.30 a.m. Mr Stringer stated that the case of Simpson v. Thacker might be regarded as settled. Clark v. Burley waa Bet down for December 9th j Oormack v. Cockburn, December 14th, 10.30 a.m. In the case of Stewart v. Cnrlett, Mr Cresswell stated it had been agreed that the matter might standi over until the next sittings. His Honour granted the application. In Jones v. Cockayne, a claim for possession of land and judgment, "Mr Stringer stated that there was a consent to judgment. Anderson v. Anderson, in divorce, and Watson v. Watson, -were fixed for December 10th. A creditors' petition, in re C _. Lamb, was fixed for hearing c_ December 10th, at 10.30 a.m. In the case of Kelcher v. Chatterton, Mr Johnston stated that a settlement had been arrived at. The banco case, McClurg v. Crosby, was fixed for December 10th, at 10.30 a.m. His Honour will sit in Chambers, if possible, on December 10th,' and in Banco on December 15th.
