CUSTOMS RETURNS.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.} AUCKLAND, Iteoember 1. The Customs duties collected m Auckland during November were £-14,566.. a decrease of £2724 comparer with November of test y*«r. The j>nmago duty contributed £411 lbs Bd,, and the surtax £315 8s 10d in addition. Tlie exports showed a general inrreaefr— butter £88,564 aeainst £65,316, flaw ! £6058 againist £1883, frozen meat £4801 against £432, hides and wool £13,002 against £9930. WELLINGTON, December 1. Wellingtons exports for November totalled £223,961, an imitase of £101,785 over November, 1908. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Cliristehureh, have received the following cablegram from their London office, dated 29th November:—"Poor demand for frozen meat, and prices arc weak. There are abundant supplies of Home and Continental, in addition to stocks of New Zealand that are not cleared. Prices of Frozen mutton and lamb are lower by id since our last cable, and frozen beef by id to Jd per lb."
