(Before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M., and Mr E. R. Good, J.P.) On Tuesday Eliza Jane Luxton, of Wellington (Mr Van Ascn), applied for enforcement of a maintenance order asainst her husband, John Luxton (Mr Johnston), made by the Court in July, 1902, the arrears on which were £178. .No order was made, the Magistrate commenting on the fact that steps had not been taken to enforce the order previously. Mr Johnston applied for cancellation of the arrears. Mr Van Asch saia that in the interests of the Wellington solicitors, whom he represented, he could not consent. In a judgment summons case, H. M. Hawkins (Mr Conlan) v P. J. Innes, £24 7s 3d, conduct money having been tendered as defendant did , not appear, an for immediate payment- was made, in default fourteen days imprisonment, the order to be suspended jf 10s a week was paid' for two months, and thereafter 20s psr week. In J- Sansom (Mr Van Aech) v J. w. Robinson, £14 76, an order -was made foT the payment of 30s iper month.
