(press association telegram.) CARTERTON, September 29. The body of the missing man, John Beard, was found last night in a. drain at', the side of the railway line, face downwards, in eight inches of water. Presumably Beard tripped over a semaphore wire and rolled down the bank into the drain, and was too weak to-extricate himself.
