(IBOM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) DUNEDIN, July 3. Alhambra had a narrow squeak against Port to-duy. The latter, playing with the wind in the first half, eeored 5 points. Aihambra had all the best of the second spell and , Marston scored a try and potted a goal. The passing of Alhambra was brilliant. The downfall of Zingari, who were beaten by Dunediu by 12 to 3, came as a surprise. The points for the chain-' pionship now are—Alhambra 20, Soutliorn 16, Zingari 14. The following are the results of the senior matches:— Taieri (24) boat University (3) Southern (6) beat Kaikorai (nil). IXmedin (12) beat Zingari (3). Pirates (11) beat Union (8). (PHESS ASSOCIATION TKF.ECRAM.) DUNEDLV, July 4. A meeting of delegates from the various football club.v in. the city and of members of the Otago Rugby Union Committee of Management last night decided, b.y 24 votes to 12, to introduce tho district scheme of football in Dunedin.
