HIGH COMMISSIONER'S CABLE.

The High Commissioner's cable from London, dated June 26th, is as follows: —Mutton market is weak, with less demand, and the advance has been partially lost. Canterbury is quoted at 2{d, North Island 2|d. The lamb market looks very weak, and there are a number of sellers selling at 4id for Canterbury "brands, and 3Jd for North Island. The. beef market is firm, with better demand. New Zealand hinds are quoted at 4|d, fores at 2{. The butter market is quiet, but holders are firm. The small supplies coming forward keep the market steady. Choicest New Zealand is quoted at 105s, Australian 100s, Danish Ills, Siberian IOOs. The cheese market Is dull, and prices are irregular. New Zealand white is quoted at 60s, and coloured. ,at 61s. -.. The hemp market is quiet, with nothing doing, and no change in prices. New Zealand good fair,, on the spot, is quoted at £23 5s per ton. New Zealand fairgrade, oh the spot, £22; fair currept Manila, £22 10s. June-August shipments —New Zealand good, fair grade, £23, fair £21.155; fair current Manila £22. The Manila output this week was 24,000 bales. ■ The hop market is active and advancing, and the stock is being reduced. The crop is very backward. ' 'English * beyt is quoted at 80s, medium 555, .American 655. The wool market is quiet but steady.
