OHINEMURI LICENCING CASE

WELLINGTON, May 18
A deputation of fifty leading citizens, including a number of the ck-rgv and Indies, -waited upon the AttornoyGenoral, and urged the Government not to allow the matter of bribery allegations in connection with the election of the Licensing Committee- in Ohinemuri some years ago, to drop, upon the decision of the Court of Appeal. Dr. Findlay, speaking as Minister of Justice, said he had done all he could in the matter. The deputation could adopt oiio oi two courses—they could place the facts before the police, who would take action if a prima tncie rase was made out., or they could tako action themselves. If the. rx>lice ivf-r*> in doubt they would no doubt refer the question to the Crown Solicitor.
