OPENING OP MELBOURNE CAMPAIGN.
Dr. "Wilbur Chapman, D.D., MrChas. '- M. Alexander, and party of thirteen, "and other missioners, who commenced " a simultaneous mission in Melbourne nnd suburbs last Sunday, arrived at ; "Melbourne by the Sydney express on Tuesday, April 20fh, and wero met at Spencer street station by over 100 «e_y_eii'and laymen of the various churches. The missioners arrived in Sjrdjiey in the steamer Makura, via "Vancouver. At a reception Dr. Chapman said ho felt it a great privilege to be in the oty of Melbourne for tho first time, v and felt more than pleased at the splendid welcome accorded him. They had done good work in other cities, and he felt that God was going to do Seat things for Australia.
