PATHE PICTURES
To-night, at the Theatre Royal, tho season of tho Patho Pictures, under tho management of Mr Henry Hayward, will commence. A number of the latest and most up-to-date films will be seen, and the Beauty Competition, which extends over the week, and for which there are a number of entries, will be' commenced. The prizes, three in number, will be awarded by the votes of the audiences during tho week. Tho plan of reserved seats is now open at the Dresden. GEACH DRAMATIC COMPANY. The Geach Dramatic Company will commence their season at the Opera House on Monday evening with the sensational drama "The Woman Pays." This will introduco to Christchurch nlaygoers Miss Ethel Buckley, who brings with her high recommendations as a comedienne. Mr Robert luman, who plays the leading male part, has already made himself a favourite with audiences. The company supporting the two leading artists is said to be a strong and excellent one, and- tho piece has won considerable praise elsewhere- The plan of reserved scats is now open at the Dresden.
