NORTHERN A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
A general meeting of the Northern A. and P. Association, attended by nineteen members, was held yesterday in tho Association's rooms at Rangiora. Mr K. Mcintosh (president) was in the chair. It was decided to appoint the President and Mr J. W. Foster delegates to the Agricultural Societies' Conference. In reply to a letter from the Timaru Association in reference to representation on Lincoln College Board of Governors, and tho proposal to havo two members elected by North Canterbury and one by South Canterbury societies, it was decided to state that consideration would be given to tho matter. Messrs J. Witham and C. Deal were elected members. Tho Chairman moved:—"That the Association congratulate the Hon. D. Buddo on his appointment to tlie Ministry," which was seconded by Mr T. "Wyllio, who said that though ho did not hold the same political views, he looked to Mr Buddo as a Minister who would do his best in the interests of the country. Tho motion was earned unanimously. Mr Wyllie moved: "That the Association commends the action of tho Premier. Sir Joseph Ward, in respect of the offer of a Dreadnought." Mr It. Leggett seconded the motion, which was carried unanimously. It was decided to hold the annual dinner and invite tho judges. The annual meeting was fixed for May 28th, nominations lor the committees to be sent in by May 18th. Mr Wyllie moved, Mr J. Stevenson seconded, and it was agreed: "That an exhibition of grain, roots, seeds, aud dairy produce be held in conjunction with the Poultry Association." "Messrs C. Leech, T. Leech, J. W. Foster, and A. S- Clarkson were appointed delegate's to act with the delegates appointed Hy the Poultry Association. A committee, consisting of the President, Messrs .7. Wyllie, F. E. Fairweather, H. H. Hudson, C. K. Skevington, A. Mcintosh, and J. L. Wilson, with power to add to their number, was appointed, and a list was headed with £5 5s from tho Association.
