ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the New Zca-, Jarni' Hockey ■Association was hcl<j on 1 hursday evening. -Mr D. Manson. presided. iha annual report and balaceo-s.'set showed the Association was still in a thriving condition, for during the past year two new associations (Waikato and Southland) had been affiliated. Tho executive received a communication from the secretary of an English club with a view to getting an English team to tour New Zealand. The committee decided not to entertain any such project unless the team was &ent out undn- the English Hockey Association. They had written to the English Association on the matter, but up to the present had received no reply. The credit balance of the Association stood nt <Clo Os lOci, and the assets £45 10s. The liabilities were nil. The report and' balance-sheet were adopted. The following officers were elected :—• Patron. His Excellency the Governor; president, Mr E. Nordon; vice-presi-dents, Mr D. Manson arid the presidents of all affiliated' associations; lion, 'treasurer, Mr W. G. Garrard; hon. ! secretary, Mr F. L. Murray; commiti tee, Messrs Burley, Cowper, .Sm'th, Goodman, and Goldsborough; auditor, Mr D. Hamber. The executive of the New Zcal-and Council met subsequently. Mr E. Nordon presided. The Buller Association wrote stating that they had l disqualified the Kia Kaha Club during tiie pleasure of tho Association for failing to hand over the cup when directed by tho Association. The cup was the property of the Association, and was competed for annually. It was resolved to endorse the action of tho previous president of the Association, in disqualifying the club. The Chairman ruled in regard to alterations to the rules hy the English Association that immediately they were j passed by tho English Association they j became operative in New Zealand.
