Tho annual report of the New Zealand Rugby Union, to be presented at the annual meeting, states that the balunco-6heet discloses a loss of £165 12s 6d on tho working expenditure of last year. This, together with tji© fact that the previous year showed a loss of £7U5, demands the serious attention of delegates. Two hundred pounds were expended in the encouragement of school football, and tho three meetings of delegates involved an expenditure of £175. The North v South match resulted in a profit of £28, and there is a credit of £670 iv connection with the visit of the British team. The following amounts aro on lorn to affiliated Unions:—Auokland £SOO, Hawke's Bay £1045. Otago £500, Southland £1150, Taranaki £350, Wanganui £625, Wellington £4000. The management places on record regret of tho death of Robert Deans, who gained a reputation as a representative footballer. The following matches will be played at Lancaster Park to-day:—Albion v. Christchurch, on the west ground, Mr G. S. Mathews referee; Sydenham v. Old Boys, on the east ground, Mr J F. Peake referee; Lin wood v. Cajitorbury College, on the south ground. Mr A. Hooner referee. Merivale will have a bye. In the junior matches, Lyttelton meet Canterbury College, Christchurrih meet Old Boys, 'Merivale meet Albion, and Sydenham meet Linwood.
