MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
The following are results of municipal elections that took place on Wednesday;— GEItALDINE. The election of councillors for the Geraidino Borough passed off without any dogree of excitement. There was no vital,question "before-the public, and a great many electors did not trouble to record their vote. Seven candidates stood for the six seats on tho Council, and Dr. Fergus Baterson, the only new candidate standing, Rained a seat, defeating Mr E. H. Logan by 17 votes. On the results being announced from the porch of the Council Chambers by the returning officer. ' tho successful candidates briefly addressed the crowd and thanked their supporters. The following are the members- of the new Council:—Mr F. R. Flatman (Mayor, unopposed), Messrs W. A. Shefratt 145, J. M. Sutherland 141, T. Sherratt 131, J. Kennedy 119, E. Taylor 110, Dr. Peterson 93.
