MINISTERIAL.
THE HON. D. BUDDO. The Hon. D. Buudo, Minister for Internal Affaire, arrived in Christclmrch yesterday morning. During tho day, two deputations waited upon him. Mrs Pratt, representing the ladies' committeo which is interested in the immigration of domestic servants, requested the Ministers support to the- petition which will be presented! to Parliament, dealing with tho domestic servant problem. Mr expressed his sympathy with these ladies who are inconvenienced by the shortage of domestic help, and undertook to pbice the representations before his colleagues. Mr G. W. Russell, M.P.. introduced' a deputation representing the New Brighton Trotting Club. The deputation preferred a request for tho transfer of the totalisator permit from the present Brighton course to the new ground recently purchased by them. Mr Buddo said that the facts as stated presents no difficulty, and he asked tlw secretary of the_ club to apply to the Internal" Affairs ment, stating the circumstances. Mr JJuc'do opened a bazaar at Belfast yesterday afternoon, and went on to Rangiora. He returns to Christchurch to-day, and this evening will present tho. medallions and , certificates awarded by the St. John Ambulance Association. He leaves for Wellington to-morrow.
