HOCKEY.

A match was played on Easter Monday in the Ashburton Domain between teams representing the Ashburton Ladies' Club and tlie Wimmera Ladies' Club of Tirnoru. In the first spell .no advantage could be claimed by either side, but the Ashburton team, attacking very consistently in the second spell, netted two goals, scored by Misses Warner and A. Thomas,.to their ODponents' nil. Very good form was shown' by Misses E. Andrewes, A. Thonlas, and Hewson, of the Ashburton Club, while Misses Dobier, L. Hurdley, and Hunt were prominent among the losers. Mr H. Gracie, of Geraldine, was referee.
