N.B. —Equalling £1 Is B.Bd per head, or S.l9d per lb. Mr J. C. N. Grigg'e entry, Long'beach. Total weight of five lambs, 1941b; 9Lb fat, Is 6dj 5 skins, 8s 8d; nett proceeds meat, £0 2s lOd. total, £5 13s IOd; less expenses, 19s 7d ; actual profit, £4 13s sd. N.B.—Equalling 18s 8.2 d per head, or 5.77<1 per lb. Mr Hunter Morris's entry, Lauriston. Total weight of five lambs, 20Glb; 81b fat, Is 4d; 5 skins, 9s' Gd; nett proceeds meat, £5 5s IOd; total, £5 16s 8d : lees expenses, 19s 8d ; actual profit, £4 17s od. The prize was £6 Gs, £3 3s award<?d on tho ground to the beat pen, and. £3 3s to the pen which gave tho highest cash return after being slaughtered and consigned to the donors in London. The first £3 3s was awarded to Mr A. Brown, Elgin, and the remainder of tho prize money to Messrs Cowan Bros., of Wheatstone.
