SHIPPING NOTES.
A barque, deeply-lader, was sighted by the signalman at Adderley Head yesterday morning. The vessel, which wan too iar ojf to be identified, wae beating northwards against v north-east wind, and. at 5 p.m. was <Jjout "7 oai es to 'he northward. 13i« burquo was probably the Lady Wo.seloy, 123b tons which left Liverpool on November 10th last year for Wellington, and which is now 1-2G days out. lho Wakatu is du= to-night from \Vellineton via Kaikoura, and will leave again tomorrow night on the return trip. The Wootton will f-n.il at 8 o'clock this morning for Kaiapoi, where she will load produce for Motucka. The Brisbane, which left Newcastle last Tuesday ,is dive here early this morning. The vessel has 1100 tone of ccai to land here. The Ka.apoi. which lefl Newcastle last Wednesday, shou.d reach Wellington to-mor-row. The vessel is bringing a cargo of coal part of which is to be discharged at LyttclTho Keituna. is expected to leave Greymuuth to-day with a cargo of coal for Lyt'.eiton and is due here on Thursday. The Kirn will probably finish discharging h<T cargo of timber to-night, when she will sail for Westport. The steamer Alexander is due hire m Thursday with a load of sheep from Titiran?i (Pelorua Sound). The vessel will return at once for a tecond load, and is duo Tjack here again about Sunday. The Norwegian barque I>a!ston is expected to finish discharging the LytteHon portion of heT onrjro of jarrah to-morrow. Tho vessel will sail at the first opportunity for Dim«lin. where she will put out -the balance of her cargo, over 300,000 feet.
