(BY OCR COMMEKCIA_ EDrrOR.) Tuesday Evening. There is a fairly large, amount of -wheat offering, but mostly in rather soft condition, and buyers are on.y taking the drier lots, so that thero is not a large quantity changing hands.
Among the sales reported was 1700 bushels of Tuscan at 3s 6<_ at a country station. Oats, on the other hand, are being offered in limited quantity only, as growers aro not anxious to sell at present prices. A line of 300 bu_hel_ of Du_j have been taken at Is _Jd at v country _tation. A few „a!e*- of barley ha;ve been made, the grain being more or less discoloured. A line of 2500 bushels has changed hands at 2a lid, and 1000 bushels at 3s. Cocksfoot is no-v coming fortrard, but ->eller_' ideas of value are much above buyers' limits, and no business iiS yet reported. The undermentioned aro the prices paid to farmers, at country stations, free of commission, except where otherwise stated :— .Milling Wheat—3s ->1 to 3s 7d, -.t country stations. Oats—ls 2d to Is 3d for feed lines. Is 4<l for milling. Is 7d to Is 9d for Algerians, at country" (stations. Barley—Malting '2s lid to 3s 3d. liyegrass (nominal) —Is 6d to. Is Cd, at country stations. Flour—£lo 10_ per ton. Bran—£3 15s, local £3 10s, f.0.b., per ton. Pollard —£fi per ton. Oatmeal— £11 per ton. New Oatsheai Chaff—£2 to £2 ss, at. country stations.
