WiEX-IfINGTO... February 24. The Covernment has decided to- subscribe £1000 towards tho Penguin Belief Fund. Tiie '.Mayor of Wellington states that a meeting of subscribers to the Belief Fund will be held on Monday night. Meanwhile temporary relief is being given, where needed. The Government has decided to extend the telephone fromi Makara to Mc'Monamiff's station, near the scene of tlie Penguin disaster.
