The Auckland proposition that championship meetings, buould extend over at> least threo clays, with at least one days interval alter each day's racing, was lost.
It \va.s agreed to make the Conferonce an annual one, arrangements to bo made- by tho Centre holding the- championships.

Tho sixth annual carnival of the Opawa Amateur Swimming Club -will be held in tho Opawa baths at 2.30 p.m. this afternoon. Swimmers returning from the Championship Meeting,, held in Timaru, %vill be comj/etins;, also tho local champions. A ladies' provincial championship Trill also bo held, and good racing should be the order of tho day.
