MASTER BAKERS' ASSOCIATION.
Tho Conference of the Master Bakers' Association was resumed yesterday.
Dr. Mason, Chief Health Officer, and Dr. Finch, District Health Officer, were present, and received some information with regard to the manufacturo of bread. Dr. Mason showed that he was well versed in the subject, and an important matter, the fermentation, was fully discussed. It is hoped that the Conference will have the effect of securing tho fixing by the Wovornment of a workable standard regarding the moisture in bread. •
The next annual Conference will, in al! probability, be held at Palmerston North
The appointment of officers for the ensuing year resulted in the re-election of all tho present holders of office, viz. :President, Mr Vv. A. Kellow ; vicepresident, Mr J. Laurenson (Dunedin); lion, treasurer, Mr I , '. MoParlond (Wellington) ; auditors, Messrs Denhard and Langdon (Wellington): Executive Committee, Messrs W. A. Kellow, H. Langdon, H. Denhard and F. McParland; trustees, Messrs Denhard and Langdon ; secretary, Mr H. F. Allen.
Tho officers rciui nod thanks for their re-election, and tho secretary was heartily thanked for the services he had rendered during the past twelve months.
Thfc members of the executive are remaining in Christchurch to-day in order to attend a meeting which has been arranged by the master bakers of Christchurch.
