(PREJsS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAIi.) PALMERSTON N., February 12. Mr Masser. speaking at -the banquet to Mr l>. Buick, M.P.. at Palmerston North last night, stated it was very significant that the voting at the reoenit general election showed increased majorities for tho Opposition. The election demonstrated clearly tihat the peo§»le were deiterminev to have a reform on sound lines in many directions. During the long term of Uif present administration, many evUa had grown up in connection with tihe government of the country, and it would be the duty of the Opposition to dio their best to remove these evils. Tlie party now in opposition was the Reform party: that was the name by which it would be known in future.
