THE ROYAL WELSH MALE CHOIR.
The season here of tho Royal Welsh Malo Choir will commence at the Theatre Royal on I'riday evening. The ohoir numbers - twenty-one members, and their singing of part songs, and hymns especially, is said to bo -wonderfully effective. Among the numerous valuable and important prizes won uy tho choir arc included four national Eisteddfod awards in North and South W«les (a uniquo achievement). Tho portrait of Sir J. Barnby is one of ttio most cherished possessions of the choir. It is inscribed with that eminent musician's opinion of the choir's performance in the words, "Tho finest specimen of singing I ever heard." The choir sang before the lato Queen Victoria at Windsor, end her Majesty was so delighted that the programme had to ba greatly extended. The plan of reserved seats for the first three concerts will be opened at the Dresden at 10 cm. on Tuesday.
