PIGEON FLYING.

The Christchurch Homing Pigeon Society flew off a race from Kazkoura- on Saturday, J-utiary 23rd. The birds wero liberated at 11 a.m., iv good weather, and with a nor'west wind b.owing. The winner was Mr A. FarreU's ltoaebud, which flew tho distance of 101 miles 1150 yards in 2hr -Urnin 33ssc. The Society desires to think Mr Mulianc for attending to and liberating Urn bird*.
