VANCOUVER, January 25
Major Daniels, an American scientist, has arrived at Vancouver from Now Guinea. He urges Britons to watch Germany's growing power in the Pacific, and he says a strong naval base has been established at Simonshaven, the defences of tho forts being quite formidable.
