w CHRLSTCHI7RCH REGATTA COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Chcristehrurch, Regatta Committee last night was attended by Messrs F. D. Kesteven (chairman), C. L. Hawkins (bon secretarv), H. H. Smith, R. E. Lake, H. R. Brittun, H. S. Hobbs, D. Lee, H. Berry, L. Corbett, and H. Best.
Dr. -"hacker wrote accepting the position of vice-president.
Business in connection with, the Christchurch Itegaitta was transacted.
Tlie question of finances was gone into, and satkfactory reports were received.
Entries to the number of forty-eight were received for tbo various events, and crows were drawn for their positions.
(press association telegram.) AUCKLAND, January 25. A meeting of tho Auckland Rowing Association was held this evening to receive entries for tbe New Zealand Championship Regatta, which is to be held at Mercer on February _3th. At the request of several Southern clubs, the date of closing of entries was extended to February 3rd, all entries to be in the hands of the secretary by that date. A good entry has alreadybeen received.
