0 CANTERBURY ROWING CLUB. The Canterbury Rowing Club opened tho season on Saturday alt-moon in perfect weather. All the pleasure-boats and a largo proportion of tho racing boats were out. and a most enjoyable afternoon was spent. There was a procession clown the river as far as the East belt bridge and back, after which tworacing events wero decided, a scratch fours" and a mixed double sculls, in which the stroko of each crow was a lady member. Somo very good racing was witnessed, several of the finishes beins particularly close. Afternoon tea was at tho club-house. In the oveniug a most enjovablo dance was held.
