COLONIAL WOOL SALES.
Our special Bradford correspondent, commenting upon New Zealand clips in the fourth series of colonial wool sales iii London, mentions the following Canterbury and Marlborough grown wools: ,—R. Acton-Adams over Clarence were merincs, showing nice 64's quality, , good length, fair averago condition and 'j sound, and were very useful wools. The | first lot of A combing H made lOd, fol-i-lowed by another lot at 9d, B combing Dd. C combing BJd, Ist nieces Bd, and halfbred H9|d. 20id, bellies 19Jd, halfbred combing 173, and pieces 16d. The. Acland merinos were fine but fatty, and also a little irregular in quality.' Tho highest price for the greasy combing was v 9d. Greenhills over B in Heart was a superior clip of''merinos, showing 60's to QVs quality, very soft handle and sound, but tending to be rather fatty. Both the super and Ist combing made up to 11 Jd, then followed two lots at lid, 2nd combinu lOd. 3rd combing and the halfbred up to lOjd. B in heart over Elms was as perfect a clip as can bo grown, the super halfbred combing making 11 id, Ist combing ll}d, halfbred E lid and 10Jd, 2nd 10id, three-quarterbred 10|d, seveneighthbred 9id, and Leicester 9d. Such wools aro a treat to see and a credit to any man. Glynn Wye sold uo to.lOd for tho combing merinos, and the same price for tho fine crossbreds in two cases. Brookdale merinos fetched l.Ojd, Quarterbred and halfbred lOd, and splendid wools they were. Taking the salo of New Zealand wools as a whole, they did very well considering the condition of the market.
